We examine interactions between social and ecological changes, like climate change and globalization of business relations and social movements. How do consumption patterns and lifestyles interact with the environment? In our work we consider effects on different social groups and their different possibilities to act (gender and diversity).

Science

A sustainable society needs changes in its culture of science. We develop new models and methods for the cooperation of science and practice, for example partnerships of research institutes with educational institutions, public authorities or NGOs.

Technology

We have been analyzing technological risks and their potential effects on human and environment for more than 20 years, with a focus on risk minimisation for individuals and society.
